I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia. I received my MA and BA in political science from Université Laval.
My primary research interests are in political violence, resistance, and democracy from the perspective of political theory. At the moment, I am working on a dissertation devoted to political riots. I am also interested in international political theory (with a particular focus on resistance and contestation in/to global politics), pluralistic research methods (e.g. causal inference, statistics, interviews), and electoral politics in Québec and Canada. I am part of the team that created the École interdisciplinaire outils & méthodes, a summer school on research methods hosted by the Graduate School of International Studies and the Chair in Digital Social Sciences at Université Laval. My work has been published in Nations and Nationalism, Religion and Politics, Geopolitics, the Canadian Journal of Political Science, and the International Journal of Media & Cultural Politics. My research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and the Department of Politics and Graduate School of Arts and Science at the University of Virginia. |
